Note: This role is fully remote, based in the Gauteng Province and KwaZulu-Natal regions.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for creating, launching and executing plans to drive sales and build market presence within Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal regions.
The role entails launching and growing the sales business for our range of product software and services that enable golf clubs to manage their operations efficiently, driving long term sustainability and revenue for our business within the regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build customer base, develop accounts and increase revenue.
- Key focal points are sales and revenue growth and sustainability.
- Develop an ongoing understanding of market requirements.
- Continually analyse the competitive landscape.
- Help create and develop products that fulfil market needs.
- Create and develop marketing strategies to drive growth and revenue.
- Prepare presentations that differentiate our products and services as a preferred technical and commercial solution for potential customers.
- Negotiate and close deals profitably.
- Build and leverage a strong network within and across the industry through positioning our products and services as market centric.
- Collaborate across internal teams (customer support, marketing and product teams) to ensure customer success and achievement of business goals.
- Play a key role in contributing and collaborating with senior management in the planning, rollout and delivery of strategic initiatives.
- Be results focused, meeting and/or exceeding individual and company metrics and goals.
- Be proactive with a strong work ethic.
- Have a working knowledge of Salesforce and be able to apply best practices in maintaining and recording customer and sales data.
- Be able to report and analyse company activities in order to operate proactively in order to sustain and grow the business.
- Act as an ambassador for the business and participate in exhibitions, conferences, and/or events to help build accelerating sales or build your profile.
- Engage with colleagues internationally to understand and support the growth of a positive company culture in your region, ensuring that core values and "good sportsperson ship" behaviours are consistently demonstrated.
Essential Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience in sales and/or account management in a SaaS environment, promoting web/cloud/mobile based products.
- Accomplished in the use of Salesforce or similar CRM.
- Own a car and hold a valid SA drivers license.
- A proven track record selling and client retention.
- An understanding of the game of golf, its practices and environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Collaborative and adaptable with experience of working in conjunction with multiple teams.
- A proactive, positive attitude/approach and results oriented mindset.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication.
- Prepared to travel between Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal as required to build the business.
Desirable Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary degree (e.g. Business/Sales).
- Established network of relationships within the golf industry.
- In-depth knowledge of the Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal markets, including key stakeholders, potential partners, and competitors.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
