Job Details
Manages Commercial Print sales, service and distribution of products and services within the Southeast Region.
Ensure maximum sales volume and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Set, drive and manage all sales initiatives.
- Directly manage and develop Commercial Print Sales in the region.
- Achieve and exceed Region revenue, profit and expense objectives by expanding key strategies and maintaining high performance with current customers and identifying/developing new opportunities.
- Partner with plant presidents and collaborate on local market strategy.
- Carry out management responsibilities (interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisals, rewarding, disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems).
- Develop annual business plan in conjunction with Senior Sales and Operations Leaders.
- Use consultative selling approach, demonstrate knowledge of accounts' needs and industry, market conditions, pricing and competitive activity.
- Maintain accurate records of forecasting, sales and prospecting activities (sales calls, presentations, closed sales, follow-up).
- Submit required reports to upper management and corporate in a timely manner.
- Attract new sales representatives through successful recruiting strategies.
- Actively involved in developing new sales representatives, sales orientation and sales training programs.
- Participate and contribute to professional development and increased knowledge of product and services to sales representatives.
- Develop and maintain multi-level relationships within accounts, including establishing high-level contacts and identifying/influencing decision makers.
- Maintain contact with all clients to ensure highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Create and conduct effective proposal presentations and RFP responses.
- Assist with implementation of new products and services within existing and new clients.
- Establish and maintain effective working team relationships with direct team members and support departments.
- Monitor and evaluate changes in accounts, the marketplace, the competition and the industry.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field or equivalent experience in Sales Representative, Sales Supervisor, Sales Manager or related area of work focused on sales and sales management.
- Very good understanding of sales and sales management principles (typically 4+ years of sales management experience).
- Experience with print and/or print-related services is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Successful selling abilities (including cold calling).
- Strong product and services knowledge related to the printing industry.
- Good analytical ability for customer needs analyses, recommendations, overcoming objections and creating solutions.
- Ingenuity, resourcefulness and creativity.
- Prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently; sets goals and objectives; sets realistic action plans.
- Takes independent actions and calculated risks; looks for and takes advantage of opportunities; asks for and offers help when needed.
- Ability to lead and create an atmosphere where others can perform at an optimal level.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license.
