Senior A&E Construction Quality Monitor
At AECOM, we are recruiting a Senior A&E Construction Quality Monitor to join us in our Dublin office.
Your day-to-day will include working with an Associate or Project Director to manage and deliver capital investment projects. You should lead and manage a team on technically complex projects, develop collaborative relationships with clients and other team members, and engage Tier 1 and Tier 2 Main Contractors.
Responsibilities include:
- Understanding site processes and project programs.
- Plotting inspection plans that match projects.
- Acting as a day-to-day client point of contact, with a knowledgeable and proactive approach.
- Monitoring and updating projects with an AECOM Project Execution Plan (PEP).
- Ensuring AECOM policies are upheld.
- Leading and mentoring junior team members.
- Conversing in the BCAR process on major projects.
- Preparing inspection plans for projects eligible for BCAR process.
- Supporting the Assigned Certifier (AC) on projects.
Qualifications:
- Senior Project Manager attributes.
- Acute technical awareness of construction.
- Experience with compliance assessments, current Technical Guidance Documents, and Building Regulations.
- Good business acumen.
- CAD skills, Excel, presentation, word, and reporting writing skills.
- Good IT skills (Excel, Word, MS Teams, MS SharePoint).
- Tablet site inspection reporting.
- Understanding of detailed design, construction issues, and as-built cycle.
- Experience in design and build projects.
- Experience working in a comparable consultancy environment or with a client organization.
- Good understanding of project Governance and procurement processes.
- Ability to develop long-term relationships and balance people and processes.
- Previous experience managing internal resources, including training and mentoring.
- Awareness of the Building Control Act (2014).
