Who You’ll Work WithThis position reports directly to the Chief Procurement Director. This position requires cross-functional collaboration with SW & HW engineering, IT departments, and Corporate spending/Contract.
What You’ll DoThis newly established Corporate Purchasing team needs to develop and build a small team with clear Goals and Mission to achieve Cost savings and apply consistent processes.
This role is highly commercial, requiring extensive internal and external interaction with various constituents. Successful implementation of best practices and sound judgment are essential for achieving the right outcomes for Arista Networks.
- Lead/participate in contract and commercial negotiations for technology-related products and services globally, focusing on complex software agreements (internally-hosted and vendor-hosted) following vendor engagement model and Arista’s policies.
- Liaise with Business managers and supervisors to support their functions and create/conduct procurement strategies.
- Collaborate with risk management partners (Legal, Finance, Information Security, Compliance) to ensure vendor management policies are adhered to.
- Review terms with preferred suppliers (cost, payment terms, service levels) and re-negotiate where possible.
- Conduct financial analysis of pending transactions, including vendor financial viability, total cost of ownership, and ROI analyses; may involve external research for benchmarking and cost savings.
- Serve as an advisor to business/technology groups on licensing and commercial/contractual/vendor risks.
- Lead/participate in license audits and certifications, collaborating with end-users, technology, legal, and other groups.
- Liaise across Engineering leadership, business, and relationship managers to identify/escalate vendor/client sensitivities, commercial, and relationship opportunities.
- Lead a small team of 3 corporate buyers, training and developing them to become efficient buyers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Engineering; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Technology strategic sourcing and supply chain management
- Excellent Program and Project Management skills
- Strong team building abilities to lead cross-functional process improvement teams
- Ability to coordinate cross-site, multi-functional objectives
- Excellent communication skills for influencing at all levels
