Oracle Financials Developer will function in a Global DevOps environment, to design and develop technical-configuration solutions for all Change Requests across Global Corporate Systems & Services (GCSS) for Oracle Financials modules.
Ensure that projects-change requests are delivered on time, to budget, and with the right quality, by involving in design reviews, code deployment, and systems testing. Manage incident tickets raised for PRODUCTION issues, and meeting SLA, in Oracle Financials modules, including incident triage and resolution. Have 50-50 involvement in functional and technical space.
Functional Responsibilities
- Provide functional design and configuration solutions in support of Experian's global business processes
- Support effort to build and update Experian's global business processes
- Develop understanding of global business processes and identify continuous improvement opportunities
- Interact with Subject matter experts (SME), Global process owners (GPO), and Business users to understand business requirements, provide definitive solutions
- Deliver changes in Oracle modules (P2P, Accounts Payable, E-Business Tax, Expense, iPayment, Supplier Procurement, iProcurement, Purchasing, O2C, Accounts Receivable, Advanced Collections, iReceivables, Service Contract, R2R, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Subledger Accounting, AGIS)
- Prepare configuration guides, business requirements, functional design, conversions, test scripts and training manuals
- Conduct impact analysis of changes (patches, scripts, data fixes)
- Identify and suggest technical and functional process improvements
- Generate test plans for patches, break fixes, change requests
Technical Responsibilities
- Deliver technical RICEW components that follows Experian custom build standards, deliver to user expectations and perform within expected benchmark levels and Experian global processes
- Prepare technical design, Conversion, deployment documents, and unit test scripts
- Responsible for deployment and release of technical changes in all environments (DEV to PRODUCTION)
- Communicate with peers to develop a full understanding of what is being built and share common RICEW objects
- Support PRODUCTION issues, aiding R&D, and sharing knowledge to improve service levels
- Perform code review for CRs delivered by technical team members
Process Responsibilities
- Operate in a global DevOps environment, working to deliver Change Requests (CR) and resolution of PRODUCTION incidents concurrently
- Follow either traditional waterfall methodology or agile methodologies (i.e., scrum, Kanban)
- Provide Peer approval for UAT and PRODUCTION deployment for CRs
- Follow global processes for incident triage and resolution
- Provide positive input to regular team meetings
- Self-learn, apply knowledge to problems, and share with peers via GCSS ERP knowledge base
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or MIS, or equivalent experience
- At least 3 years of IT development experience on large Oracle implementations or Support environments
- Oracle ERP experience beneficial
- Solid experience creating, maintaining, enhancing, and tuning PL-SQL programs
- Oracle Applications R12 development experience beneficial
- Hands-on experience in Oracle Application Framework – OAF
- Oracle Forms, Reports, and BI Publisher tool experience
- Knowledge in Java, J2EE, HTML, JavaScript, Python beneficial
- Data loader tool experience
- Unix Shell scripting experience
- Experience using version control and code promotion tools (BitBucket, Jenkins) beneficial
- Experience using incident and change tracking software (ServiceNow) beneficial
- Fluent in English
- Team player with abilities to work in complex cross-functional and geographically diverse teams
- Understanding of statutory and regulatory reporting and process requirements
