Job Details
This position manages and assists in student ledger transactions for Workforce Development, including tuition billing, scholarships, discounts, and basic financial aid/invoicing, adhering to partner agreements and accounting/financial aid regulations. It supports the WFD team to ensure accurate and timely partner invoicing, and identifies opportunities for workflow streamlining and automation.
Responsibilities:
- Account reconciliations, corrections, and reporting for non-Title IV awarding and packaging.
- Support billing configuration for Workforce Development partner agreements and program build-out.
- Post award data for timely and accurate cash flow forecasting.
- Support contract review and analysis for Workforce Development.
- Active team participation in the Corporate Student Financial Services Department, ensuring communication and collaboration with other departments.
- Ethical and accurate documentation and recordkeeping.
- Prepare statistical and tracking reports.
- Schedule non-Title IV funds to ledgers and cash disbursement rosters.
- Provide exceptional customer service and respond to partner/campus inquiries.
- Collaborate with IT on customization inquiries.
- Prepare customized Workforce Development invoices and ensure timely delivery to partners.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Reporting Structure: Dual reporting to Manager of Tuition & Student Collections.
Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in a business office, banking, or accounting environment.
- Preferred: experience in financial aid/cash management at a higher education institution.
- Bachelor’s degree with coursework in business, finance, auditing, or accounting.
- Excellent customer service, oral & written communication, and presentation skills.
- Teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- English proficiency; bilingual skills helpful but not required.
- Meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and office systems.
- Meeting UNITEK verification standards.
- Strong sense of urgency and responsiveness.
- 98% accuracy in originating/disbursing Title IV aid.
- 98% accuracy & timeliness in reviewing files for refund calculations and Title IV return.
