Summary of Position: The Sourcing Manager is responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services for Silfab Solar. This position is critical in maintaining a reliable supply chain to support our solar manufacturing operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to identify and qualify suppliers.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and performance reviews.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand sourcing needs and forecast demand.
- Track global and domestic trends in key commodities.
- Work with existing and new vendors to ensure alignment with quality, capacity, and productivity expectations.
- Identify and qualify alternative suppliers to enhance supply chain flexibility.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, ethical sourcing standards, and environmental regulations.
- Analyze procurement data and metrics to measure performance.
- Domestic travel of up to 30%.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing principles and procurement best practices.
- Commodity Market insight. Understanding of Regulatory and Sustainability issues.
- Demonstrated experience in negotiating and managing supplier contracts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.

Education and/or Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing in a heavily-automated manufacturing industry.
