Full-Time Sourcing Manager

Summary of Position: The Sourcing Manager is responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services for Silfab Solar. This position is critical in maintaining a reliable supply chain to support our solar manufacturing operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to identify and qualify suppliers.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and performance reviews.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand sourcing needs and forecast demand.
• Track global and domestic trends in key commodities.
• Work with existing and new vendors to ensure alignment with quality, capacity, and productivity expectations.
• Identify and qualify alternative suppliers to enhance supply chain flexibility.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, ethical sourcing standards, and environmental regulations.
• Analyze procurement data and metrics to measure performance.
• Domestic travel of up to 30%.

• Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing principles and procurement best practices.
• Commodity Market insight. Understanding of Regulatory and Sustainability issues.
• Demonstrated experience in negotiating and managing supplier contracts.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.

Education and/or Experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing in a heavily-automated manufacturing industry.
