Job Details
Senior Business Development Manager at Endava, responsible for driving business growth, managing partnerships, and providing industry expertise to clients and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
- Identify new clients and introduce them to our IT services.
- Guide clients through the sales cycle, offering solutions to achieve business goals through IT transformation.
- Serve as a trusted advisor selling IT Professional Services and building collaborative relationships.
- Drive opportunities through new clients and existing clients.
- Identify target clients via lead generation strategies (cold calling, networking, referrals, online research).
- Execute the entire client sales cycle, from acquisition to closing deals and driving revenue growth.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads.
- Negotiate, manage, and close strategic new business deals.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the payments industry and its technological landscape.
- Grow your book-of-business and achieve uncapped commission.
- Participate in speaking events, workshops, panels, and conferences.
- Participate in external industry events.
Requirements:
- 8-10+ years of new business development experience focused on the payments industry.
- Deep understanding of selling nearshore/offshore IT Professional Services (preferred).
- Strong understanding of industry trends and challenges in merchant services, card issuing, and enterprise money movement.
- Experience with multiple stakeholder types (payments networks, merchants, corporates, financial institutions, ISOs, PayFacs, fintechs).
- Experience with payments acceptance or business payments (bank merchant services, bank treasury sales, or from other vendors).
- Existing network of contacts/customers in Payments.
- Experience leading strategic new business development initiatives for large enterprise clients.
- Hunter-centric sales experience (prospecting, cold calling, qualifying leads, sales presentations, negotiating, closing contracts, relationship building).
- Ability to identify industry pain points and engage with VP/C-level decision-makers.
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve sales targets.
- Proven track record of success in new business development, achieving £5M+ quota per year.
- Experience preparing and presenting proposals, business cases, and statements of work.
- Collaborative leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Travel required (locally, within country, and internationally).
