Role Overview: This role partners with Visa stakeholders to develop and manage complex commercial agreements. It requires expertise in legal drafting, contract management, and strong collaboration across Legal, Finance, Product, and Sales. The role advocates for the Sales organization and closely works with Finance, Legal, and Audit.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Draft and finalize complex commercial agreements to achieve business objectives, supporting those relationships after execution.
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Audit to ensure consistent contract development and timely approval.
- Identify process improvements to add value to stakeholders.
- Manage contract development, approval, filing, database management, reporting (recurring and ad-hoc).
- Participate in special assignments and provide ad-hoc support and reporting.
- Train internal stakeholders on the contract process and implement process improvements.
- Collaborate with leadership across multiple functions.
- Understand client goals and deliver appropriate service enablement, recognizing client-specific requirements.
Qualifications:
- Required: 8+ years relevant experience with Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years with Advanced degree, or 2+ years with PhD.
- Preferred: 9+ years with Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years with Advanced degree, or 3+ years with PhD.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; J.D. preferred, or equivalent experience. Advanced degree in relevant field (MBA, Finance, etc.) preferred, if not J.D.
- 6+ years of extensive contract drafting experience (preferably at a similar company size).
- Relevant experience at a Fortune 500 company or law firm.
- Strong understanding of the payments industry and Visa products.
- Understanding of payment services, banking regulations, antitrust, and digital payments.
- Experience managing staff in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build relationships with all levels of internal clients.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and writing skills.
- Proactive identification and driving of process improvements.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Experience with contract management software (Salesforce, Apttus, etc.) and e-signature tools (DocuSign).

Compensation: $113,800 - $206,350 per year (may include incentives).
