The Strategic Account Manager will foster strong, long-term relationships with global key accounts and OEM partners.
Grow revenue of the Standards business, focusing on Reference Materials and Analytical Standards product lines.
Serve as internal advocate for strategic account needs.
Account Management:
- Own strategic global/regional accounts/OEM partners, providing support across sales stages.
- Manage and nurture key relationships with influencers (leadership, lab stakeholders, procurement) to drive retention and expansion.
- Provide product awareness, consultation, and problem-solving at HQ and site locations.
- Collaborate with account managers at assigned strategic accounts.
Collaboration & Coordination:
- Lead collaboration across LGC Standards resources (account managers, end-market sales managers, quoting specialists, customer service).
- Ensure a positive customer experience and account planning initiatives.
Sales & Marketing:
- Promote LGC Standards products and brands, utilizing marketing programs and distributor channels.
- Meet and exceed sales targets.
- Produce sales proposals for bids.
Leadership & Development:
- Coach and mentor sales organization members, improving sales skills and career development.
- Develop in-depth understanding of LGC products and their applications.
Tools & Reporting:
- Use LGC sales tools to manage prospects, accounts, opportunities, pipeline, and forecast.
- Increase LGC Standards brand awareness through exhibitions, seminars, and events.
Qualifications:
- Education: BSc in chemistry, physics, biochemistry, biology, or similar; combination of education and experience considered.
- Experience: Proven experience selling technical products in research labs; prior key account management with central procurement preferred.
- Skills: Ability to read and interpret RFQs, contracts, manuals; experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce, Desk); expertise in Microsoft Office; outstanding commercial awareness and planning.
- Languages: Proficiency in English; additional languages (Spanish, French) advantageous.
- Travel: Willing to travel up to 40% within designated territory.
