Job Details
Strategic Account Manager will foster strong, long-term relationships with global key accounts and OEM partners.
Grow the revenue of the Standards business, focusing on Reference Materials and Analytical Standards product lines.
Serve as the internal advocate for strategic account needs.
Account Management:
- Own strategic global/regional accounts/OEM partners, providing comprehensive support across all sales process stages.
- Manage & nurture strategic account relationships with key influencers (leadership, lab stakeholders, procurement).
- Drive retention & expansion; provide product awareness, consultation, & problem-solving.
- Collaborate with account managers.
Collaboration & Coordination:
- Lead cross-functional collaboration across LGC Standards resources.
- Ensure a positive customer experience & account planning success.
Sales & Marketing:
- Promote LGC Standards products and brands.
- Meet & exceed sales targets.
- Produce sales proposals.
- Coach & mentor sales organization members.
- Develop in-depth understanding of LGC products & their applications.
- Use LGC sales tools for prospect management, opportunity tracking, pipeline forecasting.
- Increase LGC Standards brand awareness via exhibitions, seminars, etc.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant science discipline or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience selling technical products to research laboratories; key account management experience preferred.
- Ability to read & interpret documents (RFQs, contracts, manuals).
- Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Sales Force).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent commercial awareness & planning abilities.
- Proven track record of meeting & exceeding sales targets.
- Fluency in English, additional languages (Spanish, French) preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 40%.
