Strategic Account Manager, Multi-Family is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales plans to drive growth and profitability. The SAM cultivates strong relationships with key decision-makers to retain existing business, secure new specifications, and enhance margins.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Develops and implements sales plans including market analysis, account opportunities, goals, initiatives, and measurable outcomes.
- Creates Individual Account Plans (retention and new business).
- Provides specification recommendations by account/division.
- Develops sales strategies for all Outdoors products.
- Conducts customer intimacy events.
- Manages inventory.
- Makes financial decisions impacting both Outdoors and the customer's business.
- Executes sales and marketing promotions.
- Contacts and builds relationships with corporate executives, purchasing managers, design center leaders.
- Understands the strategic account's business and critical measures.
- Collaborates with customers to gather strategic information.
- Works with all levels of the customer organization to understand issues and opportunities.
- Ensures customer responsiveness to Outdoors' needs.
- Mobilizes and leads the organization to respond to customer needs.
- Facilitates organizational involvement with customers.
- Monitors and communicates business trends, distribution patterns, consumer/trade attitudes, competitive practices and product performance.
- Orchestrates organizational resources to maximize sales opportunities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of proven sales, marketing or sales management experience
- Proficient in MS Office Suites
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze market conditions and competition
- Strong understanding of Marketing, Finance, and Operations
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Flexibility to maximize business opportunities
Nice to Have:
- Master's Degree in Business Administration
- Experience within the Consumer/Durable Goods industry
- Familiarity with CRM software
- Ability to self-manage and manage multiple priorities
- Superb written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter and self-motivator
Compensation: $81,000 USD - $113,000 USD (base salary). Annual bonus or role-based sales incentive plan.
