Job Details

Strategic Account Manager, Multi-Family is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales plans to drive growth and profitability. The SAM cultivates strong relationships with key decision-makers to retain existing business, secure new specifications, and enhance margins.

What You Will Be Doing:

  1. Develops and implements sales plans including market analysis, account opportunities, goals, initiatives, and measurable outcomes.
  2. Creates Individual Account Plans (retention and new business).
  3. Provides specification recommendations by account/division.
  4. Develops sales strategies for all Outdoors products.
  5. Conducts customer intimacy events.
  6. Manages inventory.
  7. Makes financial decisions impacting both Outdoors and the customer's business.
  8. Executes sales and marketing promotions.
  9. Contacts and builds relationships with corporate executives, purchasing managers, design center leaders.
  10. Understands the strategic account's business and critical measures.
  11. Collaborates with customers to gather strategic information.
  12. Works with all levels of the customer organization to understand issues and opportunities.
  13. Ensures customer responsiveness to Outdoors' needs.
  14. Mobilizes and leads the organization to respond to customer needs.
  15. Facilitates organizational involvement with customers.
  16. Monitors and communicates business trends, distribution patterns, consumer/trade attitudes, competitive practices and product performance.
  17. Orchestrates organizational resources to maximize sales opportunities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of proven sales, marketing or sales management experience
  • Proficient in MS Office Suites
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze market conditions and competition
  • Strong understanding of Marketing, Finance, and Operations
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Flexibility to maximize business opportunities

Nice to Have:

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration
  • Experience within the Consumer/Durable Goods industry
  • Familiarity with CRM software
  • Ability to self-manage and manage multiple priorities
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter and self-motivator

Compensation: $81,000 USD - $113,000 USD (base salary). Annual bonus or role-based sales incentive plan.
