Strategic Account Manager, Multi-Family is responsible for developing comprehensive sales plans, including market analysis, account strategies, and measurable outcomes to drive growth and profitability.
Cultivates strong relationships with key decision-makers (corporate executives, purchasing managers, design center leaders) to retain existing business, secure new specifications, and enhance margins.
Collaborates with customers to understand their business drivers, leveraging Outdoors' full portfolio of products and solutions to meet their needs.
Mobilizes internal resources, facilitates cross-functional collaboration, and responds proactively to customer requirements to ensure customer satisfaction and drive strategic objectives.
Monitors market trends, competitive activities, and product performance, providing insights to inform organizational strategy and maximize sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements sales plans encompassing market analysis, account opportunities, short- and long-term goals, strategic initiatives, and measurable outcomes (including Individual Account Plans, Specification Recommendations, Sales strategy, Customer intimacy events, Inventory Management Programs, and Financial Decisions).
- Calls on and develops key relationships with Corporate Headquarters, Regional and Divisional Presidents, Purchasing Managers, Design Center Managers, and additional Decision Makers to retain existing business, secure new national specifications, and improve margins.
- Understands the strategic account's business and critical measures to drive the account, including collaborating with the customer, working with all levels of the customer's organization, and ensuring responsiveness to customer needs by mobilizing the organization, facilitating involvement with other functional departments, and proactively monitoring business trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years proven sales, marketing, or sales management experience
- Proficient in MS Office Suites
- Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain positive relationships with associates, customers, subsidiaries, agents, and sales force
- Ability to analyze market conditions and competition
- Strong understanding of Marketing, Finance, and Operations
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Flexibility to maximize business opportunities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Business Administration
- Experience within the Consumer/Durable Goods industry
- CRM software familiarity
- Superb written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to self-manage and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to anticipate market and client opportunities
- Self-starter and self-motivator
Salary Range: $81,000 - $113,000 USD
Compensation: Annual bonus plan or role-based sales incentive plan.
