Strategic Account Manager, Multi-Family, develops and executes comprehensive sales plans including market analysis, account strategies, and measurable outcomes to drive growth and profitability.
Cultivates strong relationships with key decision-makers (corporate executives, purchasing managers, design center leaders) to retain existing business, secure new specifications, and enhance margins.
Works collaboratively with customers to understand their business drivers, leveraging Outdoors’ full portfolio of products and solutions. Mobilizes internal resources and facilitates cross-functional collaboration to ensure customer satisfaction and drive strategic objectives.
Monitors market trends, competitive activities, and product performance, providing critical insights to inform organizational strategy and maximize sales opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements sales plans (market analysis, account opportunities, short-term & long-term goals, initiatives, measurable outcomes).
- Creates Individual Account Plans (retention & new business).
- Provides specification recommendations by account/division.
- Develops sales strategies for all Outdoors products.
- Conducts customer intimacy events and manages inventory.
- Makes financial decisions impacting both Outdoors and the customer.
- Conducts sales and marketing promotions.
- Builds key relationships with corporate headquarters, regional/divisional presidents, purchasing managers, design center managers, and decision-makers to retain business, secure new specifications, and improve margins.
- Understands the strategic account’s business and critical metrics.
- Collaborates with the customer to acquire strategic information and works with all levels of the customer’s organization to understand issues and opportunities.
- Ensures action and responsiveness to the customer, taking responsibility for the customer’s experience with Outdoors.
- Mobilizes and leads the organization to respond to customer needs and facilitates the organization’s involvement with the customer, including other functional departments.
- Monitors and communicates business trends, distribution patterns, consumer/trade attitudes, competitive practices, and product performance.
- Orchestrates organizational resources to maximize sales opportunities.
