Job Details

Strategic Account Manager, Multi-Family

Develops and implements sales plans that include market analysis, account opportunities, short- and long-term goals, strategic initiatives, and measurable outcomes.

  1. Individual Account Plans (Retention and New Business Plans)
  2. Specification Recommendations by Account / Division
  3. Sales strategy for all Outdoors products
  4. Customer intimacy events
  5. Inventory Management Programs
  6. Financial Decisions impacting Outdoors and customer

Calls on and develops key relationships with Corporate Headquarters, Regional and Divisional Presidents, Purchasing Managers, Design Center Managers, and additional Decision Makers and Key Influencers to retain existing business, secure new national specifications, and improve margin.

Understands strategic account's business and critical measures.

  1. Collaborating with customer to acquire strategic information.
  2. Working with all levels of customer organization to understand issues and assess opportunities.
  3. Ensures action and responsiveness to the customer.
  4. Mobilizing and leading the organization to respond to the customer's needs.
  5. Facilitating organization's involvement with the customer.
  6. Including other functional departments with expertise.

Monitors and communicates business trends, distribution patterns, consumer and trade attitudes, competitive practices, and product performance characteristics.

Orchestrates organizational resources to maximize sales opportunities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years proven sales, marketing or sales management experience calling on National Multi-Family new development accounts
  • Proficient in MS Office Suites (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive relationships
  • Analyze market conditions, competition, and develop strategic responses
  • Understanding of Marketing, Finance, and Operations
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Flexibility to maximize business opportunities
