The Strategic Account Manager, Multi-Family, is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales plans. The SAM cultivates strong relationships with key decision-makers to retain existing business, secure new specifications, and enhance margins.
The SAM works collaboratively with customers to understand their needs, leveraging Outdoors' full portfolio of products and solutions.
This role monitors market trends, competitive activities, and product performance, providing insights to inform organizational strategy and maximize sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements sales plans including market analysis, account opportunities, and measurable outcomes.
- Creates Individual Account Plans (Retention and New Business Plans)
- Provides Specification Recommendations by Account / Division
- Develops sales strategies for all Outdoors products
- Organizes Customer intimacy events
- Manages Inventory Programs
- Makes Financial Decisions impacting both Outdoors and the customer’s business.
- Conducts sales and marketing promotions
- Develops key relationships with Corporate Headquarters, Regional/Divisional Presidents, Purchasing Managers, Design Center Managers, and additional Decision Makers and Key Influencers.
- Understands the strategic account’s business and its critical measures.
- Collaborates with customers to gather strategic information.
- Works with all levels of the customer’s organization.
- Ensures action and responsiveness to the customer.
- Mobilizes and leads the organization to respond to customer needs.
- Facilitates organization involvement with the customer, including other functional departments.
- Monitors business trends, distribution patterns, and competitive practices.
- Orchestrates resources to maximize sales opportunities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of proven sales, marketing, or sales management experience calling on Multi-Family new development accounts
- Proficient in MS Office Suites
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze market conditions and competition
- Strong understanding of Marketing, Finance, and Operations
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Flexibility to maximize business opportunities
Nice-to-Have:
- Master's degree in Business Administration
- Experience in the Consumer/Durable Goods industry
- Familiarity with CRM software
- Ability to self-manage and manage multiple priorities
- Superb written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter and self-motivator
Salary Range: $81,000 - $113,000 USD
Additional Information:
- Remote position with 60-70% travel
