The Manager, Planning Strategy will participate in a broad range of projects to assist clients in meeting their business objectives. This could be within the Sales and Operations Planning or Integrated Business Planning processes and associated sub-processes of demand, supply, and inventory planning for our clients. Or it could be in the areas of inventory optimization and product positioning/flow as a standalone project or as part of a client's network redesign project. May also serve as functional subject matter expert for planning, forecasting, inventory management software implementations.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage 1-2 projects of no greater than 26 weeks each at a time, as leading of a team of 1-3 consulting staff members per project or being responsible for a complete project depending upon size and scope.
  • Be knowledgeable of the project deliverables, and the work required to meet the deliverables
  • Perform operations analysis, inventory modeling, data modeling, data mapping etc. meet deliverables
  • Complete and submit end-of-project action report / self-assessment to the Project Manager or Project Executive
  • Use a high degree of tact when interacting with clients and peers
  • Assist sales and marketing associates by taking part in sales calls and visits
  • Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Skills and Experience Needed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Industrial Engineering or related field
  • 7+ years of Professional Industry Experience; background in consulting is preferred
  • Experience using supply chain planning and inventory management software is preferred
  • Requires strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Requires excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with other staff
  • React quickly and decisively to problems
  • Requires good judgment and decision-making ability
  • Identify with causes of the problems and takes steps to correct it
  • Value diversity and will embrace a highly collaborative, team-based environment
  • Able to maintain confidentiality of clients’ intellectual property
  • Expected Travel Time: 40%-50%
