We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Territory Manager for our East Zone Australia operations preferably to be based in Sydney or Melbourne. Applicants from Brisbane will also be considered.
Role Responsibilities:
- Developing and executing a business strategy to deliver profitable growth for Veolia WTS in the Eastern States.
- Leading a team of Account Managers, Growth Leaders, and Field Service Engineers.
- Developing and executing the strategic growth plan for the region aligned to the Oceania region strategic plan.
- Reporting to the CSM Commercial Leader for Oceania.
- Developing new innovative strategic growth plans and sales campaigns.
- Developing and maintaining a strong pipeline within the existing customer base and targeting new customers.
- Delivering on KPIs and profitable growth through innovation.
- Displaying risk-taking, creativity & innovation.
- Motivating and leading the team to deliver account management excellence and service excellence.
- Measuring customer satisfaction through the NPS process.
- Coaching and mentoring the sales and service team.
- Leading a culture of ethics, quality, and EHSP&L.
- Demonstrating accountability for functional, business, and company objectives.
- Integrating and developing processes that meet business needs.
- Managing complex issues within a functional area of expertise.
- Contributing to the overall business strategy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Commerce, or Science
- Ability to travel locally approximately 50% of the time
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in selling and/or marketing complex solutions and/or technical sales in the water treatment industry.
- At least 5 years in a direct people management role.
- Technical knowledge of industrial water treatment applications (cooling, boiler, RO, mining).
- Proven track record of leading diverse teams to commercial success.
- Ability to effectively lead people and operate in a matrix organization.
- Strong analytical skill set and strategic mindset.
- Strong competence in value proposition analysis and market maps.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Keen understanding of basic business operations and organizational levers.
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of general industry trends, competitor offerings
- Business finance knowledge
- Experience working at industrial sites (chemical plants, mineral processing plants, refineries)
- Tertiary qualifications with >8 years in area management/leadership
