Territory Manager Responsibilities:
Work with customers to meet sales goals, maintain/grow relationships with distributors, dealers, and construction professionals.
Implement promotions, programs, and processes (with inside sales & marketing support).
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Outside sales experience in the decking or building materials space.
- Autonomous worker.
- Enjoys public speaking and product demonstrations.
- Available for overnight travel.
Territory:
- North of I-70, Wyoming.
Salary: $95,000 - $105,000/year + commission (based on territory performance).
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales, margin, and expense budgets (monthly, quarterly, annually).
- Improve KPIs: Fiberon Market Share, Dealer Share, Product Positions, Builder Share.
- Acquire and retain key dealers and users.
- Optimize local distribution to increase market share.
- Develop annual business plan with Regional Manager (exceeding territory budgets).
- Conduct semi-annual Joint Business Planning Meetings with RM & local Distributors.
- Effectively utilize CRM and sales process.
- Make effective presentations (F2F, GoToMeeting, etc.).
- Gather & report on competitive programs, promotions.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethics.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License
- 4+ years of outside sales experience
- Live within the core geography
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Enjoys public speaking and product demonstrations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Building Industry experience
- Professional sales training/certification
- CRM experience
