Territory Sales Manager
As a Territory Manager representing our Therma-Tru, Fypon, and Larson brands, you’ll have the opportunity to grow top-line sales within the Upstate New York territory. You will be responsible for cultivating relationships with key and prospective distributor accounts to drive future sales growth. You will also act as the company’s front-line primary contact by establishing and maintaining relationships with key executives, purchasing/estimating, construction/operations, sales, architecture, design, and finance personnel (or other disciplines) within customers’ and prospects’ organizations.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in selling and knowledge of doors and building materials
- Extremely autonomous
- Ability to travel overnight
- Background of growing and maintaining relationships through high-touch communications and knowledge sharing
Responsibilities:
- Develop business plan and targets for market and channel growth
- Own existing customer relationships and cultivate new relationships with distributors, dealers, and builders
- Primary contact for escalation of issues
- Collaborate with Regional Managers on market pricing
- Collaborate with Regional Managers, R&D, Engineering, and Quality Control regarding new products and competitors
- Communicate and train customers on products and value-added services
- Present and implement marketing, merchandising, and promotional programs
- Assist in resolving service issues
- Handle administrative tasks (activity reports, opportunities, expenses)
- Maintain customer and prospect database
- Attend trade shows
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of direct sales experience in the building products industry
- Experience calling on distributors, dealers, builders and/or contractors
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Nice-to-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field
- Familiarity using CRM software
- Experience with multi-step distribution channel
- Experience with sales forecasting
Salary:
$90,000 - $125,000 (base salary range)
