As a Territory Manager representing Therma-Tru, Fypon, and Larson brands, grow top-line sales in the Upstate New York territory.
Cultivate relationships with key and prospective distributor accounts to drive sales growth.
Be the company's primary contact for key executives, purchasing/estimating, construction/operations, sales, architecture, design, and finance personnel.
Ideal candidate has experience selling doors and building materials, is highly autonomous, and can travel overnight.
Grow and maintain relationships through high-touch communications and knowledge sharing.
This remote position is based in the Syracuse, NY area, with up to 25% overnight travel.
Responsibilities:
- Develop business plan & targets for market/channel growth.
- Own existing customer relationships, cultivate new with distributors, dealers, and builders.
- Escalate customer issues to Segment Managers/Specialists.
- Collaborate with Regional Managers on market pricing.
- Collaborate with Regional Managers, R&D, Engineering, and Quality Control on new products, competitors, field/quality issues.
- Train customers on Therma-Tru products & services.
- Implement marketing, merchandising, and promotional programs.
- Resolve service issues with Customer Service.
- Handle administrative tasks (reports, opportunities, expenses).
- Maintain customer/prospect database.
- Attend trade shows (as needed).
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years direct sales experience in building products.
- Experience calling on distributors, dealers, builders, and contractors.
- Excellent written, one-on-one, and presentation communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Nice to Haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field.
- Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., HubSpot).
- Multi-step distribution channel experience.
- Sales forecasting experience.
Salary: $90,000 - $125,000 (base), plus bonus/incentive.
