Territory Sales Manager for our Therma-Tru brand, grow top line sales in Manitoba, Atlantic Maritimes, and Ontario.
Cultivate relationships with key and prospective distributor accounts to drive sales growth. Primary contact for customers, establishing relationships with executives, purchasing/estimating, construction/operations, sales, architecture, design, and finance personnel.
Essential skills and experience: Experience in selling building materials, autonomy, ability to travel overnight (4-6 nights/month). Proven ability in growing and maintaining relationships through high-touch communication and knowledge sharing. Experience calling on distributors, dealers, builders/contractors.
Remote position based in Toronto, ON area. Salary range: $81,000 - $110,000 base salary + bonus opportunity.
Your Role:
- Develops business plan and targets for market growth.
- Owns existing customer relationships and cultivates new relationships with key distributors, dealers, and builders.
- Primary contact for customer issues (escalations).
- Collaborates with RM's on market pricing.
- Collaborates with RM's, R&D, Engineering, QC on new products/competitors.
- Communicates and trains customers on products/value-added services.
- Implements marketing, merchandising, promotional programs/materials.
- Assists in resolving service issues.
- Handles administrative tasks (reports, opportunities, expenses).
- Maintains customer/prospect database.
- Attends trade shows as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 5-7 years of direct sales experience in building products industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field
- Experience with multi-step distribution channel
- Experience with sales forecasting
