The Thought Leadership and Executive Communications Senior Manager develops and executes comprehensive communication strategies to enhance the company's reputation, increase brand awareness, and foster strong relationships with key stakeholders. This role involves overseeing all aspects of our Thought Leadership Programs and Executive Communications Initiatives.
Strong communication skills and self-motivation, coupled with a strong work ethic and passion for storytelling, are essential.
This role also entails following news trends and thinking creatively about new ways to engage with global organizations and elevate our message. Deep messaging experience is crucial for shaping how the Turnitin brand is perceived in education and top-tier media.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Craft compelling messaging, manage external communications, and ensure consistent and effective communication aligned with the organization's goals and values
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to our CLT, and help deliver their communications to the company and their individual teams
- Develop and implement a thought leadership strategy to establish the organization as an industry leader
- Support strategic planning and execution for all external communications efforts
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Skilled at business planning, diligent in measuring and communicating progress, identifying roadblocks, and proposing solutions
- Broad press and social media relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organized self-starter with high attention to detail
- Highly skilled at building relationships with target media outlets and journalists
- Ability to report results and share deliverables with company leaders, key stakeholders, and communications partners/agencies
15+ years of related work experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in the education technology sector
- BA or BS (or equivalent) degree
Compensation: $111,000/year to $185,000/year. This position is bonus eligible/commission-based. Actual compensation will be determined by work location and factors such as experience, skills, degrees, certifications, and other job-related factors. Internal equity, market and organizational factors are also considered.
