The VP of Field Marketing develops and oversees channel and product marketing strategies, executes sales campaigns, field events and programs that drive demand generation, pipeline growth and customer engagement in line with quarterly and annual sales goals. This senior role involves leading and mentoring the field marketing team, collaborating closely with the professional sales and product teams, managing budgets and analyzing data to optimize performance.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Develop and execute channel marketing strategies and business plans in alignment with company goals and sales initiatives.
- Work closely with industry partners, buying groups and other trade associations to design and execute collaborative marketing and sales campaigns.
- Build systems and processes for dynamic marketing campaigns to consumers and trades.
- Hire, lead and coach high-performing field and channel marketing team members.
- Partner closely with sales leadership to monitor, manage and report success across new and existing channels with marketing metrics.
- Understand market dynamics and industry trends.
- Support sales teams from all channels in development and execution of field activities.
- Manage marketing budgets and allocate resources effectively to maximize ROI across programs and events.
WHAT YOU NEED FOR THIS POSITION
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and 10+ years of technical sales and B-to-B marketing.
- Strong analytical capabilities to interpret data, drive decision making and measure program effectiveness.
- Ability to develop and execute short-and long-term strategies, translating business objectives into actionable marketing plans.
- Strong knowledge of channel sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques, with understanding of the competitive landscape.
- Experience building strong, collaborative relationships with sales teams, serving as a strategic partner.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
