Account Development Representative

Role Overview:
The Account Development Representative has an appreciation of FMCG and NielsenIQ products and services, and a good understanding of the value these bring to clients. The role focuses on listening to, discovering, and understanding client needs to identify sales opportunities and leverage NielsenIQ's unique value proposition. You'll proactively build a valuable network internally and externally, collaborating with key contacts in Analytics to identify leads.
Responsibilities:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key players in client networks.
- Understanding clients' businesses to identify the best NielsenIQ solutions to meet their needs.
- Managing needs assessment and discovery processes.
- Demonstrating NielsenIQ solution functionality directly to clients, aligned with the value proposition defined by the manager/director.
- Educating clients on industry trends and best practices adopted by peer companies.
- Preparing simple, compelling proposals and pitches, converting opportunities into sales.
- Displaying consultative sales behaviors, listening to client needs, and responding to RFPs.
- Meeting revenue targets, taking accountability for business planning and implementation.
- Understanding the steps in the Enterprise Selling process to accelerate sales cycles and improve win rates.
- Utilizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM) for sales activities, leads, and opportunities.
- Working collaboratively with Client Response and Analytic Consulting teams to ensure opportunities are picked up, information is shared, and account strategies are aligned.
- Ensuring team consistency in the use and updates of the CRM system.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- 1-3 years of experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software and Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Strategic sales and business development competency
- Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods, Consulting, Information, Sales, or Analytics industries
- Preferred experience in the perishable category
- Skilled and polished communication, including client presentations
- Strong logic, deductive reasoning, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to maintain positive client relationships in complex situations, resolving issues
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams
- Strong sense of urgency and accountability
Compensation:
Market-competitive salary in the range of $51,800 - $75,000. Actual salary depends on experience, qualifications, skills, and location. Sales-based incentives and performance-based bonuses may apply.
