Why are we hiring? Telefonica Tech - Data & AI Practice (formerly Adatis) is growing rapidly (100% growth in current FY). A new Account Director is needed to support the Sales Director, developing new clients and supporting future growth. The goal is to generate new sales revenue from new or existing clients, while meeting customer expectations on cost, functionality, and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Qualify new sales leads and opportunities.
- Position and sell data and AI solutions to clients.
- Work with industry partners for relationship development.
- Maintain and update customer information in CRM.
- Plan and organize sales strategies.
- Develop go-to-market propositions with the Marketing team.
- Understand customer businesses and requirements.
- Collaborate with pre-sales and technical consultants for solutions and client presentations.
- Negotiate terms and close sales.
- Represent the Data & AI Practice at events.
- Create proposals and respond to RFPs.
- Stay updated on industry trends.
- Maintain and update technical knowledge and skills.
- Focus on effective time management.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of sales/pre-sales experience in IT, preferably Public Sector.
- Data & AI experience preferred.
- Microsoft partnering experience preferred.
- Strong education (ideally graduate).
- Strong problem-solving and consultative/outcome-focused approach.
- Results-oriented, independent, and team-oriented.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with complex RFPs highly desirable.
