Account Executive - Doors & Hardware

As an Account Executive, drive sales and foster long-term relationships with general contractors and key stakeholders in the commercial construction industry.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new business relationships: Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Manage Requests for Proposals (RFPs): Review bid invitations to determine potential projects.
• Select projects to bid based on industry knowledge and client needs.
• Attend walk-throughs to understand project complexities.
• Become an expert in product offerings (doors, frames, hardware, access control).
• Stay updated on industry trends.
• Project Estimation: Prepare estimates, partnering with estimators (when applicable).
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships.
• Collaborate with project management, operations, and engineering teams.
• Provide exceptional post-sale support.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities and project progress.
• Manage post-award process: Ensure contract accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Be a continuous learner: Attend industry training.

Requirements:

• Four-year degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of sales and estimating experience.
• Minimum 3 years in Doors, Frames, and Hardware industry.
• Experience in Commercial and Residential Construction preferred.
• Proficient in databases, spreadsheets, word processing, email, and internet.
• Ability to interact professionally with a wide variety of people.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to work under deadline pressure.
