Full-Time Assistant General Counsel

We’re looking for an Assistant General Counsel to join our legal team.

Responsibilities include:

• Serve as a versatile legal advisor across Branch’s business units
• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of agreements
• Provide practical guidance on financial technology law matters, privacy, IP, and corporate governance
• Support product teams on development and go-to-market strategies
• Partner with Compliance and Risk teams to operationalize regulatory requirements and advise on policy updates
• Assist with corporate governance, including board materials, and corporate filings
• Develop templates, playbooks, and scalable processes to improve efficiency and consistency across the Legal team
• Collaborate directly with senior leadership on strategic initiatives and risk management

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and active membership in at least one state bar
• 4-7 years of legal experience, ideally with a mix of law firm and in-house practice
• Broad-based legal experience
• Experience in fintech, financial services, or another highly regulated industry strongly preferred
• Strong judgment and business sense
• Excellent communication skills, with a practical, solution-oriented approach
