Full-Time Associate General Counsel

SymphonyAI is seeking an experienced Associate General Counsel to lead commercial transactions across the Americas, provide legal guidance to US-led product and engineering teams, and ensure privacy compliance.

• Negotiate and manage commercial agreements (sales, vendor, licensing, partnership, data processing) across the Americas.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA).
• Conduct privacy impact assessments and audits.
• Develop and maintain privacy policies and compliance documentation.
• Advise on data breach incident response.
• Provide legal support to sales, product, and engineering teams.
• Streamline legal processes and improve templates.
• Oversee dispute resolution and manage external counsel.
• Lead, mentor, and develop legal team members.
• Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations.
• Deliver legal training throughout the organization.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and bar admission.
• 15+ years of relevant experience as a commercial, privacy, and product counsel.
• Knowledge of software and SaaS contracting, IP, and data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA).
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders.
• Experience driving legal operations improvement projects.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Sound business judgment and high ethical standards.
