Associate Attorney, MVA
Assists in reductions and settlement negotiations for outstanding motor vehicle accidents and third-party liability accounts.
Works under supervision of senior attorneys, supporting case management and claim resolution.
Advocates for highest possible reimbursement.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Reduction requests, settlement negotiations, and payment fulfillment for assigned motor vehicle accident and third-party liability claims.
- Legal research, evidence gathering, and case strategy development.
- Telephone follow-up with attorney offices for timely resolution.
- Liability questionnaire preparation, lien review, and outstanding documentation resolution.
- Effective communication with internal and external clients.
- Resolves shared tasks and goals under the supervision of a senior attorney.
- Close collaboration with associate attorneys and support staff for efficient case management.
- Participation in team meetings and case reviews.
- Potential mentorship of staff, including new hires.
- Quality Control tasks on account flow and due diligence.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active Georgia law license.
- 6+ months experience with Motor Vehicle Accident claims.
- 1+ year in healthcare billing or collections (preferred).
- Basic understanding of Revenue Cycle terminology, practices, and liens.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong computer proficiency (MS Office).
- Regular and predictable attendance.
