Full-Time Associate Commercial Counsel

Experian is seeking an attorney to join the high-growth FSD division. Remote or in-office work available.

Experience required:

• Drafting, negotiating, remediating, and building complex agreements (employer services, telecom, financial services, FinTech, technology).
• Negotiating contracts directly with Experian clients, understanding multiple products/services (employer services, SaaS, licensed software, consulting, professional services).
• Experience with various agreement types: professional services agreements, RFPs, RFQs, NDAs, evaluation agreements, standard terms & conditions, service level agreements, master services agreements.

Responsibilities:

• Partnering with Experian and client businesses to find creative solutions.
• Ensuring contracts comply with Experian policies, business practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinating with multiple departments (information security, compliance, sales, product marketing, legal, finance).
• Maintaining and enforcing contracting policies.
• Obtaining and documenting approvals for non-standard terms and pricing.
• Assisting sales teams with contract remediation and administration.
• Advising management on contractual terms and risks.
• Providing training to sales and other departments on contract issues.
• Facilitating deal execution while minimizing risk.

Qualifications:

• JD from accredited law school, state bar admission.
• 2+ years in-house legal/contracts department experience.
• Comfort in a large business environment.
• Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Understanding of risks and opportunities during negotiation.
• Experience with critical contract terms (Limitations of Liability, Indemnification, Warranties, Termination, Data Security).
• Aligning contract terms with revenue recognition.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe products.
• Interest in and use of technology platforms.
