Guardant Health is seeking an Associate Director, Healthcare Compliance to join our Commercial Legal & Compliance team, supporting our Screening Division. This role involves serving as legal counsel for contract matters and as a compliance advisor, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements for medical service promotion to primary care practices.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel and strategic advice on compliance issues.
- Develop awareness of risks in marketing and sale of cancer diagnostic products.
- Provide guidance to business partners through all product stages.
- Draft, implement, and maintain policies and training plans.
- Maintain knowledge of healthcare compliance trends and laws.
- Advise on legal issues in the medical device lifecycle.
- Review promotional materials.
- Perform teaching audits to improve training effectiveness.
- Assist with internal investigations and manage corrective actions.
Requirements:
- J.D. with 5+ years' experience in a healthcare legal department or law firm.
- Experience in healthcare contractual arrangements with referral sources.
- Knowledge of federal and state laws (False Claims Act, Stark Law, EKRA, Anti-Kickback Statute).
- Understanding of ethics and compliance risk in healthcare diagnostics.
- Experience in deploying compliance programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
