About the Team: The Associate Counsel role will support the fast-growing legal, regulatory, and compliance needs of our AI company.
About the Role: As Associate Counsel, you'll ensure legal soundness, navigate the evolving tech landscape, and support AI-driven initiatives. Your role directly impacts scaling, risk mitigation, and providing cutting-edge solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements (SaaS, data processing, etc.).
- Support contract lifecycle management and improve legal templates.
- Provide legal advice to sales, procurement, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and sales to address legal considerations.
- Advise on data privacy (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA) and cybersecurity.
- Monitor and advise on evolving laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- J.D. and state bar membership.
- 3+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in-house at a SaaS company or tech firm.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of data privacy laws.
- Understanding of AI technologies and legal issues.
- Strong communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary ($127,000-$159,000).
