Job Details
Role: Within the MUFG legal team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and regulatory support to specialist business areas (FX Services, Fund of Fund Financing, CLO).
- Draft and negotiate legal documentation (Currency Hedging Agreements, ISDAs, CLO documentation, Loan documentation, EMIR related documentation).
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide advice on ad hoc legal/regulatory questions.
- Manage internal risks and controls.
- Liaise with external counsel for legal advice.
- Manage legal spend and timelines.
- Respond to legal queries from various departments.
- Advise on day-to-day legal/regulatory matters.
- Support and manage projects/new business initiatives.
- Coordinate precedent maintenance.
- Provide advice to internal committees.
Qualifications:
- English law qualified solicitor.
- 2+ years financial services experience (in-house or private practice).
- Expertise in legal areas covered by the Supported Businesses.
- Familiarity with EMIR, AIFMD, and MiFID (preferred).
