Full-Time Attorney - Supply Chain & Procurement

Company Overview Kairos Power is a new nuclear energy technology and engineering company focused on clean energy, aiming to improve quality of life while protecting the environment. They commercialize fluoride-salt-cooled, high-temperature reactors (FHR) for deployment with robust safety, affordable costs, and flexible operation.

Job Summary Kairos Power seeks an experienced attorney to support supply chain and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Support supply chain and procurement team as primary attorney.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts (domestic & cross-border) including supply, consulting, transportation, contingent workforce, lease, IT, construction, and EPC agreements.
• Develop and maintain templates, playbooks, and contract clause database.
• Develop contracting processes and training.
• Guide vendor engagements and answer questions on NDAs, contract terms, and company policies.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and support pre-litigation disputes.
• Stay updated on legal developments and market trends.
• Assist with other legal tasks.

Qualifications

• Current, good standing member of at least one state bar.
• 5+ years of legal experience with increasing responsibility.
• Experience structuring, drafting, and negotiating sophisticated commercial contracts.
• IP transactions experience a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, risk identification, collaboration, and communication.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, adapt to changes, and solve problems.
• Commitment to integrity, ethics, and confidentiality.

Physical Conditions -Stationary work with some standing/sitting.
Environmental Conditions -Office environment.

Additional Requirements
-Occasional weekend and extended hours for launches/projects

Salary: $144,900 - $181,200 (onsite Alameda, CA)
