Job Details

As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you are the front line for sales efforts, actively seeking and engaging prospects.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate new, qualified sales leads through various outreach methods (networking, campaigns, social media, cold calling).
  • Educate and nurture leads to schedule prospect meetings for the sales team.
  • Prospecting: Target named accounts, industry/geographic segments.
  • Identify and engage contacts matching Cielo's Personas and Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs).
  • Monitor buying signals using tools like Marketo and 6Sense to tailor outreach.
  • Utilize all communication methods (phone, email, text, social media).
  • Collaborate with sales partners on initial prospect meetings.
  • Schedule meetings for sales partners.
  • Design and update email flows using Groove.
  • Manage inbound inquiries, distributing based on ICPs.
  • Handle inbound leads not fitting an ICP.
  • Update industry Market Maps and identify prospects using sales data.
  • Gather competitive intelligence and market trends.
  • Refine targeting based on feedback from sales partners.
  • Update Salesforce records (accounts, contacts).
  • Collaborate with Salesforce support on database gaps.
  • Provide pre and post-event support for marketing events.
  • Assist with sending event invitations.
  • Attend exhibitions and trade shows as needed.

Requirements:

  • Articulate a compelling value proposition.
  • Strong presentation skills to deliver presentations and answer prospect questions.
  • Coaching and mentorship skills to support peers.
  • Highly motivated, results-driven, and self-starting.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Collaborative approach, handing off relationships and opportunities.

Experience:

  • 12+ months of experience in Lead Generation, Prospect Sourcing, Inside Sales, or similar.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • College degree preferred.
