Job Details

As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you are the front line for sales efforts, actively seeking and engaging prospects through outreach channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate qualified sales leads through networking, targeted campaigns, social media, cold calling, etc.
  • Educate and nurture leads to schedule meetings with sales team.
  • Prospect against target lists, industry/geographic segments.
  • Identify and engage contacts matching Ideal Customer Profiles (ICP).
  • Monitor buying signals using tools like Marketo and 6Sense.
  • Leverage various communication methods (phone, email, text, social media).
  • Work with sales partners to determine best approach for prospect meetings.
  • Schedule prospect meetings with sales partners.
  • Design and update email flows using Groove.
  • Manage inbound inquiries, distributing to sales partners based on ICP.
  • Disposition of inbound leads not mapped to ICP.
  • Update industry Market Maps and identify potential prospects using sales data.
  • Capture and report competitive intelligence & market trends.
  • Refine targeting process based on sales partner feedback.
  • Update Salesforce (create accounts/contacts, update details).
  • Work with Salesforce support to identify database gaps.
  • Provide pre/post-event support for marketing events.
  • Assist with sending event invitations.
  • Attend exhibitions/trade shows as needed.

Requirements:

  • Build & expand relationships with prospective clients.
  • Identify and connect with decision-makers.
  • Articulate value proposition that drives product/service awareness.
  • Strong presentation skills, delivering presentations & answering prospect questions.
  • Coaching & mentorship skills to support peers.
  • Highly motivated, results-driven, self-starter.
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly targets.
  • Identify opportunities for individual performance improvement.
  • Work collaboratively in a sales environment, handing off relationships/opportunities.

Experience:

  • 12+ months experience in Lead Generation, Prospect Sourcing, Inside Sales, etc. is preferred.

Exposure:

  • Experience in Talent Acquisition, RPO, Recruitment, or equivalent is ideal, but not required.

Tools:

  • Experience with CRM, research, databases, and workflow automation is preferred.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • College/University degree preferred.
