As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you are the front line for our sales efforts, actively seeking and engaging prospects through various outreach channels.
Responsibilities:
- Generate qualified sales leads through networking, targeted campaigns, social media, cold calling, and outreach.
- Educate and nurture leads to schedule prospect meetings for the sales team.
- Prospect against a target list or industry/geographic segments.
- Identify and engage contacts matching Cielo's Personas and Ideal Customer Profiles (ICP).
- Monitor buying signals using tools like Marketo and 6Sense.
- Utilize all communication methods (phone, email, text, social media) for outreach.
- Work with sales partners to determine the best approach for initial meetings.
- Schedule meetings with new contacts for sales partners.
- Design and update email flows using Groove.
- Manage inbound inquiries, distributing to sales partners based on ICP and Personas.
- Disposition of inbound leads not matching an ICP.
- Update industry Market Maps and identify potential prospects using sales data.
- Capture and report competitive intelligence and market trends.
- Refine targeting based on feedback from sales partners.
- Update Salesforce (create accounts, contacts, and update details).
- Collaborate with Salesforce support team to identify database gaps.
- Provide pre and post-event support for marketing events.
- Assist with sending event invitations and attend exhibitions/trade shows as needed.
Requirements:
- Build and expand relationships with prospective clients.
- Identify and connect with decision-makers.
- Articulate a value proposition to drive awareness of products/services.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to deliver presentations and answer prospect questions.
- Coaching and mentoring skills to support peers.
- Highly motivated, results-driven, and self-starter.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly targets and consistently seek ways to improve individual performance.
- Work effectively in a collaborative sales environment, handing off relationships and opportunities to sales partners.
Experience:
- 12+ months of experience in Lead Generation, Prospect Sourcing, Inside Sales, or similar function.
Exposure:
- Experience in Talent Acquisition, RPO, Recruitment, or equivalent industry is ideal but not mandatory.
Previous experience with CRM, research, databases, and workflow automation is preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required. College or University degree is preferred but not required.
