Position Summary: The primary responsibility of the BD Representative is to identify and engage with industry contacts, decision-makers, and potential clients. Responsible for generating new business opportunities by identifying potential customers, qualifying leads, and building relationships. Will work with the sales team to achieve revenue goals and increase the company's client base. A key role in building the sales pipeline by documenting relevant information in the CRM, initiating outreach, and scheduling follow-up meetings, service demos, and surveys. This position can be onsite or remote. Qualified candidates within the continental US will be considered.
Essential Functions:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in supply chain solutions
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industry challenges, and growth opportunities
- Lead Identification: Research and identify potential clients, industry contacts, and decision-makers and pursue new business opportunities within the target market
- Initiate contact via email, phone calls, and social media to introduce products/services and establish relationships
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential customers and existing clients to encourage repeat business and referrals
- Qualify leads based on their needs, budget, timeline, and correlation with our services
- Analyze sales data and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing strategies and promotional campaigns
- Pipeline Development: Ensure timely follow-ups and engagement
- Work closely and collaborate with the sales team to align outreach efforts with overall sales goals
- Meet or exceed lead targets and objectives set by management
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to increase revenue within each market segment
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in business, marketing, logistics, supply chain, or related field strongly preferred, or commensurate education, training, and experience required
- Minimum 2 years of sales/business development experience in supply chain and/or distribution/fulfillment
- Experience using CRM and digital selling tools and strategies. Salesforce experience a plus.
- High degree of proficiency in O365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, and PowerPoint), web-based, and Windows-based software
- Demonstrated track record of qualifying significant new supply chain business opportunities
- Exceptional relationship building skills with the ability to earn trust and confidence of customers and stakeholders (internal/external)
- High level of accountability, proven ability to take ownership of responsibilities, and strong work ethic
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Highly self-motivated with ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong entrepreneurial and strategic thinker with proven problem-solving and analytical skills
