About the Role:This pre-sales role focuses on public sector accounts. As a BDR, you'll identify and engage decision-makers in government organizations, explaining how SecurityScorecard supports regulatory compliance and cybersecurity operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect and book meetings for public sector sales reps.
- Identify and qualify government leads (CISOs, IT directors, procurement officers).
- Educate stakeholders on cybersecurity monitoring, third-party risk, and compliance.
- Use CRM and outreach tools effectively.
- Support public sector webinars and events.
- Stay updated on public sector compliance trends (NIST, FISMA, CMMC, FedRAMP).
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in business development, sales, or government contracting.
- Understanding of public sector procurement cycles and compliance frameworks.
- Ability to engage government stakeholders.
- Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, Outreach.io).
- Excellent communication skills.
Additional Qualifications:
- Self-starter comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience researching government cybersecurity needs.
- Familiarity with NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP, or CMMC.
