Full-Time Corporate Counsel Employment & Investigations

Corporate Counsel, Employment and Investigations will report to the Sr. Counsel, Labor and Employment and collaborate closely with the VP, Compliance.

Responsibilities:

1. Employment: Provide legal counsel on employment-related matters, including hiring, termination, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour issues, and employee benefits. Draft, review, and update employment contracts, policies, and handbooks. Assist with managing outside counsel on employment-related legal matters. Collaborate with HR to develop and deliver training programs on employment law and company policies. Assist in the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
2. Investigations: Oversee and/or conduct thorough and impartial investigations into HR and compliance-related issues. Collaborate with HR, Compliance, and other relevant departments. Oversee and administer EthicsPoint hotline database. Provide legal advice and guidance on investigation processes. Prepare detailed investigation reports and present findings. Develop and implement investigation protocols and best practices. Assist in the development and delivery of training programs. Stay current with changes in laws and regulations. Support the legal team in other areas as needed.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree
• Active bar membership
• 5+ years of experience conducting HR investigations
• Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and investigative techniques
• Fluency in Spanish (a plus)
• Certifications in HR or compliance (a plus)
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
