Director of Human Resources (HR) Technology and People Analytics holds a key leadership position responsible for overseeing and aligning the strategic efforts of HR Information Systems (HRIS) and People Analytics.
Plays a pivotal role in driving digital transformation, optimizing HR systems and processes, and leveraging data-driven insights to support strategic workforce planning and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the HRIS team, managing and maintaining the Human Capital Management system (Workday), overseeing data management, collaborating with IT and external vendors for system upgrades.
- Establish a People Analytics function, defining a workforce data & analytics strategy, developing HR data solutions (self-service reporting, dashboards, analytics) empowering HR leadership.
- Build a high-performing team by providing leadership, mentorship, and talent development, promoting innovation and collaboration.
- Collaborate with IT on a comprehensive HR technology strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with executive leadership goals.
- Partner with IT for long-range and short-range planning, translating objectives into actionable HR initiatives.
- Collaborate with HR process owners and IT to design HR technology solutions.
- Build cross-functional relationships to innovate and sustain HR technology solutions.
- Manage and enhance HR technology application, simplifying data, systems, and processes, identifying opportunities for automation and integration.
- Foster team collaboration for easily accessible HR data, selecting and implementing data engineering/visualization tools.
- Champion innovation in data engineering/visualization technologies to enhance HR data infrastructure, automating data ingestion and processing.
- Ensure robust data governance, security, and compliance practices.
- Lead change management efforts related to HR technology and people analytics initiatives, facilitating communication, managing resistance, and driving a culture of innovation.
- Spearhead the exploration of cutting-edge HR technology, advising senior leaders on new trends and solutions, providing research and cost-benefit analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- Advanced degree/certification (e.g., PMP, PHR, SPHR) is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in HRIS management or HR technology, including 5+ years of progressive leadership experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Workday HCM, other modules, system configuration, troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with ADP and ServiceNow (preferred).
- Extensive experience leveraging PowerBI or similar data engineering/visualization tools.
- Proven experience leading and developing teams, conceptualizing and leading HR technology strategy and roadmap.
- Experience optimizing and automating HR processes.
- Experience partnering with IT teams and working in global organizations is a plus.
- Strong project management, analytical, communication skills.
- Ability to evaluate HR technology vendors, manage vendor relationships, and manage budgets.
- Understanding of HR data governance and security.
- Proficiency in data engineering concepts, HR analytics, and leveraging data for decision-making.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
