Director of People Operations is responsible for leading and ensuring the effective design, implementation, and measurement of People Operations processes, policies, programs, and initiatives. Supports the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, across all global locations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees People Processes, Compensation, Benefits, HRIS, People Data Analytics, and P&C Compliance.
- Works closely with CPO and key stakeholders in Finance, IT, and Legal.
- Aligns People Ops with business objectives and fosters a positive global workplace culture.
- Provides leadership and guidance on compensation, benefits, compliance, and systems for a unified People Ops approach across regions.
- Optimizes global People Operations for efficiency and compliance.
- Prioritizes process efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develops impactful people data analytics and reporting.
- Establishes global People policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Manages global pay strategies (salary, equity, bonuses).
- Ensures pay compliance in employment areas.
- Regularly reviews and improves employee benefits, leave, and wellness policies.
- Oversees HR technology systems (HRIS, reporting).
- Utilizes data analytics for informed decisions and improvement.
- Ensures compliance with all regional labor laws, regulations, and employment practices.
- Manages global employment contracts for consistency and compliance.
- Supports People Ops aspects of international expansion and mergers/acquisitions.
- Manages the People Operations budget effectively.
- Maintains effective communication with leadership, P&C leaders, and stakeholders.
- Stays updated on industry trends, best practices, and HR regulations.
- Pursues continuous professional development.
- Holds team members accountable with clear objectives and processes.
- Drives high performance through management, coaching, collaboration.
- Recruits, retains, and develops high performers.
- Facilitates meetings for team collaboration, problem-solving, and knowledge-sharing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, I/O Psychology, or related field.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR).
- 10+ years People Ops experience, 5+ years in senior leadership.
- Experience leading People Ops in growing companies (organic and acquisition).
- Success leading system and process change.
- Compensation and benefits program management (including equity programs in private equity environment).
- Expert in HR systems and reporting.
- Proven ability to drive people policies for positive organizational change.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience developing and executing People Ops strategies.
- Team player, with excellent oral and written communication.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
