Reports to: Human Resource Manager, U.S.
Main Purpose: The Human Resources Generalist (HRG), U.S. collaborates and contributes to HR activities in their area, ensuring consistent and high-quality HR services for area leaders and managers. They're part of the Americas HR Team and report to a Human Resources Manager.
HR Process & Document Management
- Processes terminations and internal transfers (submits tickets to Global HR Shared Services).
- Administers the Leave of Absence (LOA) process, interacting with employees and third-party vendors.
- Presents HR materials during New Hire Orientation and completes the I-9 process using E-Verify.
- Manages employee files electronically.
- Collaborates with other HR Generalists, HR Administrators, HR Managers, Recruiters, and Global HR Shared Services for accuracy and quick responses.
Supports local HR programs
- Partners with the HR Manager and local management to implement HR activities.
- Supports specific development programs, if needed.
- Administers global HR processes and cycles with local management to ensure understanding and completion (Target Setting & Performance Management, Career Development, Talent Reviews & Succession Planning, Salary Reviews, engagement surveys, etc.).
- Collaborates with the training organization to support and promote HR-related training.
Organizational Support for Area Management
- Collaborates with the HR team to apply the people strategy, guided by Global (Group) and Region guidance.
- Assists with HR projects and provides support to Area Management.
- Participates and supports Group and Region projects.
- Assists with mergers and acquisitions' integration and change management.
- Supports the implementation of Country/Area business strategies and the Group people strategy.

- Processes pay changes (submits tickets to Global HR Shared Services).
Talent Development
- Supports the HR Manager to ensure Area Managers complete the Konecranes Talent management process and talent mapping.
- Assists with succession planning and career path utilization.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Advocates and supports employees through HR initiatives.
- Supports employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensures Konecranes complies with local employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Assists the HR Manager with investigations and leads routine investigations.
- Guides managers through minor disciplinary processes.
Diversity & Inclusion
- Champions global diversity & inclusion initiatives and applies local approaches.
- Partners with HR Manager to monitor action items and drive diversity improvements.
- Identifies ways to enhance workplace inclusion.
