As a Senior Manager Compensation, this role offers an exciting opportunity to lead compensation initiatives and define the compensation strategy for various business segments. You'll manage end-to-end compensation programs (merit increases, Annual Incentive Plans, equity compensation), drive critical initiatives, and make a significant impact within your first year.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end compensation programs.
- Lead annual merit and budget planning, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Analyze salary ranges, pay equity, and compensation metrics for leadership presentations.
- Design & implement modern compensation strategies to attract & retain top talent.
- Manage compensation projects (ideation to implementation).
- Partner with HR & business leaders to address complex compensation scenarios.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws & regulations.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives integrating compensation strategies with talent management.
First Year Goals:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of Veolia's organizational context.
- Build relationships with HR & business leaders for effective collaboration.
- Successfully navigate the full merit cycle.
- Mentor & develop direct reports.
- Lead analytical projects (incentive accruals, costing synergies, merit budget).
- Refine job architecture and job grading system.
- Implement improvements to compensation reporting & analytics.
Core Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
- 5+ years of compensation program planning & administration experience.
- Excellent analytical skills & compensation systems experience.
- Growth mindset & ability to thrive in dynamic environments.
- Detailed knowledge of compensation principles, practices, & relevant laws.
- Strong grasp of compensation tools & HRIS systems.
Bonus Points:
- International compensation program experience.
- Professional certifications (CCP, SHRM-CP/SCP).
- Job evaluation methodologies & compensation software experience.
- Knowledge of global compensation practices.
