Job Details

Hitachi is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director of Sales to join our SMC Sales Organization. This leader will oversee a team of Account Executives selling all solution areas within the Microsoft portfolio.

Ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in sales leadership, coupled with a strong understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem, and experience driving growth in diverse industries.

Responsibilities:

  1. Inspire, coach, and manage a team of Account Executives (AEs) to consistently meet and exceed revenue and customer acquisition goals.
  2. Develop and implement innovative, scalable best practices to accelerate business generation and customer acquisition.
  3. Support key deal execution and strategic prioritization to drive consistent team success.
  4. Own forecasting and pipeline management for predictable performance against targets.
  5. Monitor and analyze sales performance data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for coaching and optimization.
  6. Recruit, hire, onboard, and train new AEs to support business growth.
  7. Champion internal enablement programs to maximize team productivity.
  8. Help shape go-to-market plans through market analysis, segment prioritization, solution feedback, and sales motions.
  9. Maintain a deep understanding of all Microsoft solution areas (Business Applications, Data & Analytics, Data Science, AI/ML, and Platform).
  10. Actively engage with Microsoft teams to align strategies and leverage opportunities within their customer base.
  11. Build and maintain strong relationships with North American customers, acting as a trusted advisor.
  12. Champion customer success by delivering tailored, value-driven Microsoft solutions.
  13. Leverage industry insights to drive solutions addressing customer challenges.
  14. Maintain awareness of global business practices for strategic alignment.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Business, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years leading a sales team.
  • Strong customer relationships with Microsoft are preferred.
  • 10+ years of B2B sales experience, focusing on SMB or mid-market.
  • 5+ years of direct experience leading high-performing sales teams.
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling sales teams.
  • Strong operational expertise in forecasting, sales planning, and pipeline management.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.

Salary: $170,000 - $200,000 (USD)
