About this Job This role oversees a segment of NielsenIQ North America Strategic Analytics & Insights (SA&I) sales, end-to-end, across the entire portfolio (Consumer Behavior & Insights, Innovation, Brand & Media, Analytics & Activation).
Responsibilities
- Develop account strategies for retention and growth.
- Execute sales processes (prospecting, value creation, negotiation, closing).
- Manage sales pipeline and forecasting.
- Own revenue target/quota for assigned portfolio.
- Identify new sales opportunities.
- Articulate SA&I offerings and value proposition.
- Handle client objections and resistance.
- Understand client business strategy and communicate with cross-functional partners.
- Create and activate annual client strategies and account plans (financial forecasting, pipeline management).
- Understand client, market, and competitor dynamics.
- Identify growth opportunities and revenue streams.
- Represent all SA&I services and practice areas, focusing on the total portfolio.
- Own SA&I response/proposal creation (first-time service, large studies, cross-specialty, recurring revenue, RFPs).
- Liaise internally (Specialty Sales, Product Leadership, Operations).
- Manage the end-to-end sales process (Customer Success, Operations, Finance).
- Troubleshoot high-visibility client concerns, escalating to leadership.
- Lead client meetings, aiming for C-suite penetration.
- Drive sales strategy (awareness generation, ongoing engagement, CRM tools, thought leadership).
- Ensure internal processes are followed (CRM, sales, operations).
- Maintain product/technical knowledge.
- Drive sales with a long-term perspective.
- Ensure project profitability.
- Partner with Customer Success for healthy client relationships.
- Partner with NIQ Account Lead teams.
- Manage SA&I/NIQ client funds.
Requirements
- 8-10 years direct sales experience, new business development.
- 8-10 years market research experience selling to FMCG industry.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, strong relationships.
- Experience collaborating and selling to C-level executives.
- Strategic prospecting and new business development skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate independently and collaboratively.
- Bachelor's degree; MBA a plus.
- Strong analytical aptitude.
- Proven experience meeting high sales targets.
- CRM proficiency
