We're looking for a motivated and energetic individual with expertise in business development or client service and a passion for solution-based selling.
This position is responsible for the sale of environmental analytical services to existing and prospective customers, as well as securing business opportunities to meet revenue targets.
A day in the life of a SGS Senior Account Manager:
- Identifies business leads with existing and potential customers
- Proactively seeks out, targets, and initiates contact with prospective customers
- Develops a network of industry contacts and qualifies market conditions
- Conducts discovery sessions with qualified leads to identify client needs
- Assesses client needs against SGS capabilities
- Develops a value proposition and determines how SGS services will help clients
- Influences and promotes business opportunities through partnerships
- Secures closure on proposals and hands over contracts
- Communicates sales process activities and updates internally using CRM
- Provides market intelligence to assist in developing sales materials, plans, budgets, and forecasts
- Presents SGS at tradeshows and seminars to build brand awareness
- Acts as the customer's advocate to ensure best value
- Sets appropriate customer expectations
- Represents SGS professionally and ethically
- Continuously develops personal selling skills and broadens expertise
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Chemistry, Biology, Environmental science)
- 5 years in technical sales, project management, or customer service experience
- 5 years’ experience in the Environmental Industry (Preferred)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong leadership, self-initiative, and resource utilization
- Solid critical thinking skills
- Advanced English language skills
- Advanced reasoning and mathematical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
