Contractor Human Resources Representative

Job Summary: This is a 3-month maternity cover position. The Human Resources Representative will support HR functions, maintain employee records, assist with onboarding/offboarding, and ensure smooth HR operations. This role offers excellent career growth in HR.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with onboarding (preparing paperwork, coordinating orientations, ensuring a seamless experience)
• Maintain/update employee records (accuracy, compliance with company policies)
• Support offboarding (exit interviews, equipment returns, final documentation)
• Be a point of contact for employee inquiries (HR policies, benefits, payroll)
• Coordinate employee engagement activities, training, company events
• Assist in benefits administration (enrollment, answering questions)
• Ensure compliance (employment laws, company policies)
• Collaborate with HR/other departments to improve processes and enhance the employee experience

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• 1+ year experience in HR, people operations, or administrative support (internships included)
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to handle sensitive info with confidentiality
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, HR software (Workday, BambooHR) - a plus
• Proactive, team-oriented, passionate about a positive work environment
