Trupanion is seeking enthusiastic and driven individuals to join our team as Inbound Phone Sales Specialists.
As an Inbound Phone Sales Specialist, you will:
- Educate potential members about pet insurance policies.
- Enroll pets in comprehensive coverage.
- Answer inbound warm leads.
- Educate potential members.
- Enroll pets in policies.
- Take inbound calls from members requesting to cancel their policy and attempt to retain them as members.
Schedule (Pacific Time):
- Full-time: 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM, with either Monday and Tuesday off or Thursday and Friday off.
- First 7 weeks of training: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Remote Position:
This position is open to candidates anywhere in the US, except Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Nevada, and New York.
Required: Reliable/stable internet connection via hard-wire Ethernet.
Additional: Hybrid schedule in our Seattle office is possible.
What you will do:
- Answer inbound warm leads from potential customers.
- Utilize consultative style to understand customer needs and tailor solutions.
- Present value of pet insurance policies, emphasizing benefits over price.
- Maintain call control and guide conversations towards enrollment.
- Provide detailed information about policies, coverage options, and answer questions.
- Overcome objections with confidence and empathy.
- Utilize assumptive closing techniques to guide customers through enrollment.
- Accurately enroll pets, ensuring all information is collected and documented.
- Collaborate with sales team and management to meet/exceed sales targets.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years successful sales in high-volume business-to-customer sales environment.
- 1+ year customer service experience.

Compensation:
- Starting pay: $20/hour.
- Monthly bonuses based on individual performance.
- Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) granted to new hires, vesting over 4 years.
- $1500 sign-on bonus for currently licensed candidates.
